The cure lies in a cup (cupping therapy in Balochistan)

After considering the red deep circles left by cupping on the body of athlete Michael Phelp in Rio Olympic, my curiosity for knowing about this therapy raised further. In the society we live, cupping therapy is considered just an Islamic cure. But catching the news in theinternational media,as the Canadian prime minister Justin Thrudeau,Brazilian footballer,Nemar and celebrity Victoria Bechkam undergone this therapy, this topic has opened the new doors of discussions. So how a cup is relaxing the mind and body we dived in to search it locally.

“Hijama(the Arabic name for cupping) is sunnah and many benefits are attached with it.this ijama performer is wellknown in Quetta and all over Balochistan.we are going to try our first hijama.there is little pain to feel during the process.The patients waiting for a homepahtic Doctor ,said.The Doctor  namely Farooq owns a clinic in sirki road Quetta,the capital of Balochistan.

Banners with the Islamic hadits about the therapy were hanging on the wall describing the benefits; as one reads“there is every cure in hijama and it’s sunna.Cancer,hepatitis,heartattack infertility and other ailments can be controlled by this Islamic treatment.”

So how cupping works? A cup is placed on the body and a little cut is made with a blade that releases the blood to flow, suction is created by an air pump to pull out the blood .The Parts where the doctor hits are: Face,head,legs,arms and can be the whole body.

Street vendors are also performing this job which could to lead uneven results. It is necessary to pull out the skin’s epidermis dirty blood not the vein’s blood.Pulling out the right blood from right part is the job of an expert.Cancer,joint pains,skin allergies and other deadly diseases can be blocked by this therapy. "

Safety precaution is also necessary. Some performers repeat the use of same blades and pumps, which can lead to dangerous ailments. We charge one hundred fifty rupees for each cup. It’s up to you how many cups you want to place on your body.The more you pay,the more you get.We throw out all the used tools by the hand of patients.
